Moontower/Darkness...Glory To Hatred/War Productions/2016 Cassette Review

Moontower  are  a  band  from  Poland  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their 2016  album  "Darkness...Glory  To  Hatred"  which  will  be  released  in  December  on  cassette  by  War  Productions.

Atmospheric  sounding  synths  start  off  the  album  and  wolf  howls  can  also  be  heard  briefly  and  after  the  intro  the  music  goes  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  black  metal  direction  that  also  uses  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  along  with  some  high  pitched  screams  and  the  music  is  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  90's  second  wave  style.

Melodies  can  be  heard  in  some  of  the  riffing  and  synths  also  get  mixed  in  with  the  heavier  sections  of  the  songs  at  times  and  the  solos  and  leads  gives  the  songs  a  touch  of  classic  death  metal  while  the  tracks  also  bring  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  a  couple  of  the  tracks  are  very  long  and  epic  in  length  and  there  is  also  a  brief  use  of  acoustic  guitars  on  one  track  before  returning  back  to  a  heavier  direction.

Moontower  creates  another  recording  that  remains  true  to  the  raw  style  of  satanic  black  metal  from  previous  releases,  the  production  sounds  very  raw  and  old  school  while the  lyrics  cover  satanism,  occultism  and  darkness  themes  along  with  a  couple  of  songs  written  in  Polish.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Moontower  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  satanic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Under  The Black Sun"  and  "Death  To  Enemies".  8  out  of  10.

Thunder  and  rain  sounds  start  off  the  ep  along  with  some  clean  guitars  a  few  seconds  later and  after  the  intro  the  music  goes  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  black  metal  direction  that also  uses  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  as  well  as  some  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  and  the  music  is  heavily  rooted  in  the  90's.

Spoken  word  parts  can  be  heard  at  times  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  folk  instruments  can  also  be  heard  at  times  and  when  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  done  in  a  very  melodic  fashion and  there  is  also  a  brief  use  of  melodic  pagan  vocals.

Archaeos  plays  a  style  of  occult  black  metal t hat  is  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  90's  and  sounds  very  raw,  melodic  and  epic,  the  production  sounds  very  raw  and  old  school  while  the  lyrics  cover  Paganism,  Occultism,  Anti  Christianity  and  Misanthropy  themes.

Forlet Sires Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?
Pleased to do so. As of late (we've just picked up a bassist and it helps the live sound an awful lot), we're a five piece (black) metal band from Winterthur, which is located in the german part of Switzerland. The band was formed in late 2013, released a demo in early 2014, did some touring inside and outside of Switzerland, started recording an album in February 2016, which was finally released in October and here we are now, picking our noses.

2.So far you have released a demo and a full length, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on both of the recordings?
Some may say that our demo had even more doom-elements to it then the recently released full-length"Journey Towards Ruin", but I think, this is only because of the first song on the demo, which is the slowest and probably also most heavy-weighted piece we've written up to this point. Apart from that, I think you've captured our style pretty accurately in your review. Black metal with post and doom influences as well as some experimental aspects.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?
You could say, most of the topics deal with typical subjects such as war, misanthropy, suicide and what not and that would probably wrap it up, but we try to deliver lyrics that actually add up and tell stories or points of view which the gentle listener can follow. It would certainly be interesting to hear, what others interpret into our words.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Forlet Sires'?
It's old english and roughly translates to "abandoned forefathers", which should express, that mankind has lost it's way (in various aspects). It was only later that we discovered, that the word "sire" is nowadays also used to describe an animal which is used for breeding purposes.

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?
I think, there is no "best show" in general, because it really comes down to the criteria. The shows we played with Forgotten Tomb in the baltics were the most packed, also it was the first time we've played outside of Switzerland, but the kickoff show of our most recent tour had probably the most people that specifically came to see us, which is a good feeling. Then there are shows, that simply take place in great venues, the organizers are cool and if on top of that the audience (independent of the numbers) is happy - that's also a candidate for "best show".

6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?
Currently, there's a small probability for a tour in summer 2017, which would start off in Lithuania. Shows will happen either way, but we're also writing on new material.

7.The album was released on 'Cruel Bones', can you tell us a little bit more about this label?
Cruel Bones is a small label based in Zürich, Switzerland. We've already knew the guys personally and they've always supported us in various ways. It was a conscious decision, to release the album through Cruel Bones, because while being supportive, they also leave us all the freedom we need. Also, they don't limit themselves to a certain style of music but rather release what they like and what fits into their understanding of art.

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black and doom metal?
Pretty good. We've received a couple of reviews from various countries and we're certainly happy with what they've had to say about the record. Also, people seem to like what we're doing, but I guess that we're the kind of band, that is hard to get if you're hearing our music for the first time while being at a concert.

9.Are any of the band members also involved with any other bands or musical projects these days?
Yes, most of them. Be it solo projects, or being involved in bands that deal with different styles of music - our members are pretty busy with music besides their jobs and studies, but I guess that's passion.

10.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?
We haven't limited ourselves to a specific kind of music, but it seems like the next record will also be in the spirit of black metal. That's where our roots are, but in five years time we may as well release a drone/country album.

11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
Of course, with five people in the band, the musical tastes vary, but we also share some mutual interest in bands and artists such as Wolves In The Throne Room, Ash Borer, Townes Van Zandt, Young And In The Way, SUMAC or Ulcerate.
Right now, the new Tardigrada kicks some serious butt and we haven't yet decided what to think of "Rheia" from Oathbreaker.

12.What are some of your non musical interests?
Again, we're five people, so I'll just pick up the ones that worry me the most. Our drummer is alarmingly into football (the one with the round ball and the kicking) and one of our guitarists thinks, it's a good idea to ride a skateboard. So far, he's only injured his ankle.

13.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
Thank you for the interview, thank you for reading it, consider listening to our new album (what a surprise, it's bandcamp: https://forletsires.bandcamp.c om/) and if you haven't already, remember to try out baby wipes, it helps a lot.

Sol Sistere Interview

Can you give us an update on what is going on with the band these days?
We’re writing material for our next full-length album. We actually have a lot of songs by now and we’re still trying to get the best out of our rough recordings to come up with great final result. We don’t have a date to start recording this on studio, but I guess there is no rush since our debut album has been on the market for less than six months, so we still have to promote that record for a while before releasing anything new. In fact, the vinyl version is about to be released.
On the other hand, we’re constantly playing live shows locally, and that’s part of our promotion for our first full-length.

So far you have released an ep and a full length, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recordings?
I think both albums share the same principles and are settled on the same foundation. The music is quite melodic yet melancholic, crowned by atmospheric passages that slow down the machinery, which changes the focus from blast beats and powerful riffs to ethereal and insightful soundscapes. We plan our music to be a rollercoaster of emotions beyond simple darkness and grimness, but always inside the boundaries of black metal. There is always creative freedom to explore sounds beyond such boundaries, but we’re not interested in stepping completely out of them.

What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the newer music?
Our lyrics have always been involved with humanism and the eternal struggles and conflicts of human spirit and our existence, yet always under a ‘foggy’ and obscure point of view. They’re not made to be understood in a direct way, but interpreted under one’s own eyes.
Our new material will maintain these principles, but something is inevitably going to change since the singer, C., who wrote all of the lyrics for the past albums is not part of the band anymore. We are going to continue in the same path as these topics represent Sol Sistere’s main focus.

I know that the bands name means 'still sun' in Latin, how does this name fit in with the musical style that you play?
Though the direct translation is ‘still sun’, that whole concept is the name for solstice in Latin, and we praise the sun as a symbol for human spirit, with solstice being our maximum inner development, the point where the sun is higher and brighter than ever.
These ideas are directly related to our lyrics and the entire concept we want to transmit with our music. I think the name fits perfectly with the band as a whole artistic project.
Also, the sun is a powerful symbol for different cultures, and it can be seen as a metaphor for rebirth, as it dies and is resurrected every day; or a bringer of light (as in knowledge), necessary to all life. It is an interesting symbolic element, no doubt.

What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?
One of our favorite shows was in the ARMA Open Air festival, which was carried out in the city of Antofagasta, Chile in December 2015. It was a big festival with a lot of people, and we got a very great feedback when we got out of the stage. Our sales were also quite good that day, and we didn’t even have our full-length back then.
Another one was in a small venue here in Santiago. We decided to do a gig just us, with no other bands, playing both the EP and the full-length from start to finish. We sold out that day and we did a very good show, the crowd was very responsive and, even though it was a small place and it wasn’t like the festival I just talked about, it was really special because all of those people were there just to see us, and no one else.

Our stage performance is quite sober, we try to take care of the way we look, but we don’t really have any gimmick, and we certainly don’t make it a ritual. We like to focus on playing in a way that shows a lot of energy, with a lot of movement and headbanging, but it also has to be solemn and trance-inducing for the atmospheric parts.

Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?
Yes, we’re planning some European gigs for mid 2017, but it’s still too early to name countries and giving more details. Besides that, we plan to keep playing local shows all year, except maybe during the recording process, which still has no official date.

On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black metal?
Well, it has been quite good, actually, and we’re very glad about it. The vast majority of the reviews by the specialized press has been pretty good, and we have had some really nice comments on our social media sites. Considering we’re a small band, our achievements in terms of feedback have been more than expected, and we’re very happy about it.

Are any of the band members currently involved with any other bands or musical projects these days?
Right now, two members have other musical projects. Our bass player Juan Díaz also plays in a doom metal band called Mourning Sun, and he just returned home from a short but quite successful European tour. Also, our guitar player Luis Zapata is the founder of a death metal band called Knell, and he has also released a full-length and toured Europe with that project.

Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?
We’d like to continue in the same path we have been, but there are always going to be some chances because of the life experiences of the moment, and the music we’re listening. We are still going to focus our objective in melodic, melancholic and insightful music with the ever present atmospheric elements.

What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your newer music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
We have been listening to Mgla, Batushka, Drudkh, Forteresse, Penitence Onirique, Au Dessus, Barshasketh, Saille, Lluvia, Regarde Les Hommes Tomber, and some others. We’re also interested in new singles that come out from time to time, like the new GreyAblaze track called “IV”, which is honestly great.
All of these bands have been influencing our latest sounds, some bands more than others, but that’s basically what we’ve been listening to lately.

How would you describe your views on Occultism?
There are several trends in occultism, and I’m mostly familiar with Thelema, but what they all have in common, as part of the left hand path, is the focus on the practice of inner development, the search for knowledge, and individual enlightening. We, as a band, are not interested in preaching any form of occultism, but since we value humanistic topics and share many of these visions, it’s quite possible we cover several aspects which are relevant to occultists. We’re mostly interested in the philosophy behind it.

What are some of your non musical interests?
We like movies and books, especially sci-fi with an insightful message.
Also, Juan Díaz is a muay thai fighter, and honestly, he’s the only member of the band who practices any sport.
We like sightseeing too. We live in a beautiful country with a lot of nature and a very diverse fauna and flora, so even though we don’t really talk about that in our lyrics, it’s hard not to get influenced by the mountains and the sea when you have access to such majestic views.

Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
Thank you for this interview and for supporting us.
To the fans out there, look forward to the vinyl edition of Unfading Incorporeal Vacuum, soon to be released by Hammerheart Records. And also look for the tape edition of our debut EP I, which has just been released by Graven Earth Records.

Wolfhowl Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what has been going on with the musical project since the recording and release of the new ep?
This period, i compose new tracks for the next release, i don't know if it will be a full album or another EP. It is very important for me, to improve myself, that means i am never in a hurry thinking that i must release something in a short time.

2.In February you had released a new ep, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recording and also how does it differ from the stuff you have released in the past?
I can't and i don't want to put a name under my music BUT If i should, i'd say that the sound of the EP is something between old school and heathen/epic sound. It combines lots of things and that's a good thing for me. Of course it differs a lot from the previous releases, when it comes to composition of the tracks, musical skills, production even vocals. I have made a progress, i think. However, i think that i haven't changed my style, if you listen the first release and the last EP, you'll surely understand that it's the same band.

3.The musical project has been around since 2009, but so far you have only released 2 ep's and one split, can you tell us a little bit more about the gap in between releases?
Yes, three releases in 7 years, it's not enough eh? haha! Well, Wolfhowl as you know is an one-man-band, that means i am responsible for everything and that takes time. You know something? I could have 2 releases each year, if i wanted to...how? Easy.....composing some shitty tracks in a week, recording at my pc, having a bad sound and a shity production and release it via a poor label which releases everything in 30 copies. But that's not me, as i told you before, i take my time to improve myself, and when i feel ready i enter a proper studio and i record my new work, taking care to the composition and production, always! It is better to have 3 quality releases or 10 releases in which you repeat yourself all the time?

4.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects you explore with your music?
The lyrics of Wolfhowl have to do with mother nature, winter time and the dark side of the human nature. I am  into these stuff a lot. I was never keen on writing lyrics about anti-religion or evil ones, there are bands which do it in the proper way.

5.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Wolfhowl'?
The wolf is my favourite animal and its howl always passionated me. It's something wild and ?obscure. Furthermore, it fits to the music..to black metal.

6.With this project you record everything by yourself but have past experience playing in a full band, how would you compare the 2?
Well, that was a long time ago...i had the opportunity to play in a full band when i was away from my homeland and it was something i liked back then. Composing together, performing live in other cities of Greece etc...but i think that i prefer the path i walk the last 7 years, the lonely path...doing everything by myself,, compose when i want, record when i want and express 100% myself via my music, having noone tell me what to do with my band.

7.Over the years you have worked with War Productions, Metal Throne Productions and Azermeddoth Productions, are you happy with the support these labels have given you so far?
I can say that i am happy enough with all the three labels i have cooperated through the years, european labels act in a more professional way though, i can say it from my experience.

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black metal?
In the beginning, it was very strange for me you know...receiving an e-mail from a person who lives in another country, telling you that he/she likes your music. There are people who like Wolfhowl all over the world, but especially in Europe. Apart from Greece, i have a very good feedback from countries like Norway, Poland and Ukraine. But that's a true reward for me....knowing that there are people all around who like your music and support you!

9.When can we expect a full length and also where do you see yourself heading into as a musician in the future?
Of course i want to release a full album but it's something difficult for me. Wolfhowl is an one-man-band so i have no other person to share the cost of the recordings, production etc. Wolfhowl will exist as long as i breathe, so someday a full album will come eventually, but i can't say when.

10.What are some of the bands or musical projects that have had an influence on your music and also what are yous listening to nowadays?
I have many influences, but the main ones are bands like Bathory, Burzum, Darkthrone, Drudkh and old Satyricon. I listen lots of stuff nowadays, i liked the new Darkthrone album,  but i consider myself a big fan, so it's too harsh for me to say that i don't like a single track of this band..hehe! Apart from black metal, the last month, i listen a lot to neofolk and dark ambient music...

11.What are some of your non musical interests?
Music is my main interest as a person, apart from it, exploring nature - hiking to mountains, weightlifting at the gym, traveling to other places when i can, beer drinking with good company and riding my motorcycle on a sunny day are some other interests. I'm a simple man...

12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
As to all the other interviews i had in the past, i want to thank every single person on this planet, which supports me and Wolfhowl...buying my release or sending me an e-mail, telling me that he likes my music..it's an honour always...thank you!

RavenFrost 2016 Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what is going on with the musical project these days?

Sure. Ravenfrost has been around for ten years by now and this is the second full-length album after "Agonies Of The Past". I'm still trying to improve the sound quality with every release and I think I've done that again. It's getting harder to keep up the work on this project since I'm working full time, have a family and another band but Ravenfrost will always continue.

2.Recently you have released a new album, what are some of the things you feel you have done differently this time around that you where not able to do with your previous release?

Most important is: I finally released an album with real drums. That's a huge step forward. Troll from Succorbenoth did a fantastic job and really nailed the drums just the way they needed to be done. I also took lots of time to write the songs. There were like 12 oder 15 of them but I only selected the best ones for the final version of the album.

3.How do the lyrics differ on the new album from previous recordings?

"Lucid Nightmares" has a lyrical concept. As the title says it's about nightmares and how dreams and reality can mix until you can't tell them apart no more. A lucid nightmare would be a state where you would have horrible visions but could not move or do anything about it.

4.On the new album you have also used a regular drummer, do you feel this has made your music more powerful this time around?

Troll definitely made it more powerful. He added something brutal and aggressive to the sound of the whole album. I did not really tell him how I imagined the drums. In many parts he did them totally different from what I had in mind and it turned out great.

5.Also this new album was self released while your previous releases had a label, are you open to working with another label in the future?

I am open to that and would love to work with a good label. Unfortunately I haven't found one at the moment. I only had bad offers so I'm releasing the album myself. Maybe there will be a second release by a label. You never know...

6.Also this year you had also released a full length with your other band 'Grau', can you tell us a little bit more about this band?

Yes. Grau released "Transzendenz" this year via Dominance Of Darkness Records. I play bass and do vocals in this band. It has nothing to do with Ravenfrost's depressive/doom style. I'd say it's fast and melodic black metal.

7.You have also been doing this project for 10 years, what is it that keeps you motivated after a decade?

Well I still have a lot of ideas for new songs and I'm already writing stuff for the next album. This time the songwriting will be different because I know that Troll will do the drums. That's something completely new. Stuff like that keeps me motivated. Also seeing that Ravenfrost at least has some fans in the underground after ten years.

8.The new album is also available on bandcamp, do you feel this site has been very helpful for underground metal bands over the years?

I think it helped a lot. It's easy to use and you can make your music available for the whole world. Personally I believe in sharing music for free. Maybe that's why a label isn't that important for me.

9.Where would you like to see this project evolved into musically during the future?

Honestly: I don't know. That makes it interesting. Troll has done a lot of fast and brutal stuff. Maybe there is a way to mix this style with depressive black metal. Maybe I'll try something more progressive. We will see...

10.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

Thanks a lot for the review and interview. To everybody out there: You can download the album from my site (ravenfrost.bandcamp.com). Feel free to share it and tell me what you think about it.

Dekadent Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what is going on with the band these days?
We have just finished producing our latest effort. Basically, it’s a collection of songs that originally appeared on our first two albums. Since we recently celebrated 10th anniversary, we decided to give them a fresh update in terms of sound quality and how we play them as Dekadent in 2016. We always loved these songs but felt they could be presented in technically superior fashion. I am pleased to say we were right. The newly recorded songs sound far tighter and mightier. It shows the quality and solidness of our current line up. As always, other than some finishing touches by V. Santura (Dark Fortress, Tryptikon, …), we handled all the production duties ourselves.

2.How would you describe the musical sound of the newer music?
I feel Dekadent has always maintained its recognizable character with constantly present uplifting vibe and somewhat positive atmosphere. Our recent and newer material is gradually shifting towards something more technically challenging which brings a darker anima in the foreground. But that shift feels natural and organic as this advanced process has been evolving since our 2011 album ‘Venera: Trail & Tribulation’.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the newer music?
The grand theme of aggressive devotion remains ever-present, but while lyrics on our first three albums were obviously leaning towards existential romanticism and emotional despair, my penning includes more and more sense of individual triumph nowadays. The eternal love for flesh and stone is being loudly praised in my latest creations, with lesser attention towards anxiety and spiritual self. Philosophically, Dekadent is now more material and human than ever in terms of spirituality, praising the here and the now and dealing less and less with transcendental ideas and other-worldly concerns. My obligation to this life has greater importance and is my sole present universe.

4.Originally the band was called 'Vigred', what was the cause of the name change and also the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Dekadent'?
I still think the name Vigred encompassed music and the message of my work in a more appropriate manner than what people understand under our current moniker which has nothing to do with decadence per se. Vigred means ’spring-time’ in archaic Slovene and it fit my compositions really well. Alas, it also had some connotations I wasn’t fond of later on. Hence I went for a darker sounding ‘Dekadent’ and like I mentioned, few know I named my project after the Decadent movement and its great association with intellectual Symbolist aesthetics which find a great role in all my creations. The portrayals that I paint with my music could easily depict the works of Delacroix, Baudelaire or Wagner. Extensive romantic worlds filled with emotional tornadoes and heroic acts that end up in failure are common themes that are perhaps more evident musically than lyrically in Dekadent’s portfolio.

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played over the years and also how would you describe your stage performance?
We have had quite some memorable performances, but in general there were more of those I wish we would not take part of. I quickly learned most venues (if they can even be called that) are not on par with our demands. Being extremely experienced in visual arts I always wanted to enhance our performances to a maximum degree but wasn’t able due to technical restrictions in most clubs. Therefore most of the shows I would categorize as satisfying came from our own organizing and production. Unveiling our ‘Veritas’ album at the movie theater, for example, was something we could at least partially conduct to our liking. On the other hand shows in obscure clubs in the middle of Russia or somewhere in Amsterdam can leave a positive impression with its raw atmosphere that demands from us, as musicians, to show whatever we’ve got even without the most basic stage paraphernalia.

6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?
Yes! By all means. Dekadent is now finally a very solid collective of trained performers who love what they do and cherish every minute on stage. 2016 was actually quite busy with two extensive tours across Europe and Russian Federation. Needless to say we gained some mileage along the way and now feel prepared for whatever comes our way.

7.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black metal?
Most of the people who listen to Dekadent have broader knowledge in music and therefore accept our music with a different criteria in relation to something as daft as true black metal. On the other hand we are still so extremely underground that majority of black metal fans do not even come across our music in the first place. I am pleased to say those few that had an opportunity to listen our music at least once, now follow our work and appreciate what Dekadent delivers to the scene.

8.Are any of the band members currently involved with any other bands or musical projects these days?
They were until recently, but it is now forbidden to partake in musical acts outside Dekadent. Seriously, all members mutually agreed that we should channel our energy into Dekadent’s further growth and make it as strong of an entity as possible. We have come over that barrier of what was once a musical project and is now becoming an institution in its own right.

9.When can we expect newer music and also where do you see the band  heading into musically during the future?
As we speak Dekadent is negotiating with several small labels for the upcoming release of the aforementioned collection of songs. We hope this release will see the light of day in early 2017, while new material is constantly being written. Dekadent’s creative field is extremely wide and our contemporary style allows further development and refinement. To say we achieved our zenith with ‘Veritas’ would be arrogant and at the same time fairly pathetic. Not to say I am not content with our past releases, but we are capable of much more and we are determined to achieve that. If not with our next full-length, maybe with one after that. I am however aware Dekadent is slowly turning into a living organism with its own system that could twist into a different monster I would expect at this very moment.

10.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your newer music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
To many metalheads’ approval I have to admit I am actively listening to what the underground metal scene has to offer. Generally I listen to what I find online by coincidence, while our guitarist Gajwasz became somewhat of a personal curator of mine and introduced me to interesting acts such as Oranssi Pazuzu and Sinmara. I absolutely love what bands like Bölzer, Schammasch and Inferno (CZ) are doing recently, but to say where I find direct correlation and Dekadent soul at I would have to confess I immensely enjoy ‘BLUE’ by iamamiwhoami.

11.What are some of your non musical interests?
Working in visual arts makes me feel fortunate as it enables me to combine profession with what I do passionately. Intense interest in arts and literature on a daily basis enriches my life, however semi-professional activity in wine-making is what makes times ever more vibrant and pleasant.

12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
