Pensees Nocturnes/Alignement Desastre/Les Acteurs de L'Ombre Productions/2026 Full Length Review

France's  solo  project  Pensees  Nocturnes  has  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  an  avant  garde,  experimental  and  depressive  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2026  album  "Alignement  Desastre"  which  will  be  released  in  December  by  Les  Acteurs  d  L'Ombre  productions.

Classical  music  style  keyboards  and  tango  music  sounds  start  off  the  album  which  also  gives  the  recording  more  of  an  avant  garde  feeling  and  also  mixes  in  with  the  heavier  sections  of  the  songs  at  times.  All  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  spoken  words  can  also  be  heard  on  a  few  tracks.

Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  clear  singing  and  depressive  black  metal  screams  while  the  album  also  has  its  experimental  moments.  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  recording  more  of  a  raw  feeling  and  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing.

Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  the  clean  sections  also  adding  in  touches  of  jazz  music,  growls  are  also  used  at  times  and  some  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  as  well  as  the  solos  and  leads  also  being  done  in  a  melodic  style  when  they  are  introduced.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  French  with  one  song  also  being  written  in  English  and  covers  the  hidden  face  of  the  moon.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Pensees  Nocturnes  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  avant  garde  and  experimental  depressive  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Pomgage  funebre"  and  "Le  clown  et  la  mort".  8  out  of  10.
