Invasion/Orchestrated Kill Maneuver/RottingCorpse Records 2010 CD Review

Invasion are a band from Indianapolis, Indiana that has been around for a long time and they play a style that I would describe as being death/thrash mixed with war metal and this is a review of their 2010 album "Orchestrated Kill Maneuver" which was released by Rotting Corpse Records, this band has also been interviewed by this zine a few months back.

Drums are very fast and heavy with a lot of brutal blast beats mixed in with some mid paced drumming, while the bass playing is all rhythm bass that follows the riffs that are coming out of the guitars mixed in with a lot of samples from war movies and documentaries.

Rhythm guitars are mostly fast death/thrash/war metal riffs with some slow to mid paced riffing that is very heavy and brutal, while the lead guitars are chaotic sounding guitar solos that have an early 90's feel to them.

Vocals are a mixture of deep death metal growls and war metal screams, while the lyrics cover many different aspects of war, as for the production it has a very heavy sound that makes all of the musical instruments sound very brutal.

In my opinion this is another good album from Invasion and if you are a fan of brutal death metal and war metal you should check this album out. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Devil's Garden" "Firestorm In Dresden" "War Machine" and "Breach Of The Siegfried Lane". RECOMMENDED BUY.
