Dawn Of Azazel are a band from New Zealand that plays a very brutal sounding hybrid of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2005 album "Sedition" which was released by Unique Leader Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a great amount of brutal sounding blast beats being thrown into the music, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars and at times they have a very powerful sound to them.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast heavy and brutal riffs that combine war, black and death metal together to create a sound of their own, while the lead guitars which are only used briefly are very chaotic sounding death metal guitar solos and leads.
Vocals range from deep death/thrash metal growls that are very easy to understand as well as some high pitched screams being used at times, while the lyrics cover violent and anti christian themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, brutal and heavy sound to it where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Dawn Of Azazel are a very great sounding heavy and brutal hybrid of war, black, and death metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Spare None" "The Road To Babalon" "Violence And Uncleanliness" and "Master Of The Strumpets". RECOMMENDED BUY.
