Torment Anatomy where a band from the Czech Republic that played a very atmospheric, raw and primitive form of black metal and this is a review of their self released 2001 album "That Who".
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being used at times, while the synths which are only used briefly bring a very epic and atmospheric sound to the recording along with some psychedelic touches, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars and at times they have a very powerful sound to them.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very raw and primitive sounding in the old school tradition with some melody being used at times as well as some weird sounding distortion along with a good amount of soft and clean playing, while the lead guitars are very melodic sounding black metal guitar solos and leads.
Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams with some deeper vocals being used at times as well as a brief use of clean singing and spoken word parts, while the lyrics cover blasphemy and nihilism, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it while you can still hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Torment Anatomy where a very great original sounding atmospheric, raw and primitive black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Slavery Of Wrath" "Gnostic Blasphemy" "Victory Of Godless Truth" and "Manifest Presence Of Devil". RECOMMENDED BUY.
