Fell Voices are a band from California that plays a mixture of atmospheric, black metal, drone and funeral doom and this is a review of their 2011 album Untitled (II)" which was released by Gilead Media.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being utilized at times, while the sound effects bring elements of dark ambient and drone to the recording, as for the bass plating it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast atmospheric black metal riffs that are very dark, raw and primitive sounding with some drone and funeral doom influences being thrown into the riffing as well as some melodic elements along with a brief use of soft and clean playing, while the lead guitars when they are utilized are very raw and primitive sounding post black metal guitar solos and leads.
Vocals are all grim sounding black metal s creams, while the lyrics cover master morality themes, as for the production it has a very dark, heavy, raw and primitive sound to it with the songs being very long and epic in length.
In my opinion Fell Voices are a very great sounding hybrid of atmospheric black metal, drone and doom metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED Track "Untitled 1". RECOMMENDED BUY.
