1. Can you tell us a little bit about the band for those that have never heard of you before?
o The band was started in Portland Oregon in 2010 by Kommando on guitar and Lord Vast on drums. Grond joined shortly after on bass and vocals. This has been the only lineup.
o 2. How would you describe your musical sound?
o Very raw primitive black metal, with a very bad attitude. No flash or fuss, just pure negative energy projected on the decaying world.

o No

6. So far the demos have been released by Fallen Empire Records and Hammerbund Kunstschmiede, are you satisfied so far with the exposure they have given the band?
o It’s hard to say what the response has been from the Hammerbund release. As far as the Fallen Empire releases, we have gotten nothing but positive feedback and that label is the perfect outlet for true black metal. They are as devoted to the art as anyone else we’ve encountered and they rest at nothing to get their bands out. Aside from the demo, we’ve also recently released a 7”, Sargnagel, with them that has done fairly well. Many thanks to Mike!

8. What is going on with the other musical projects these days?
o Lord Vast will be releasing a new full length with his band Lluvia and Grond is fully entrenched in writing and rehearsing for the new Panzergod album, “Death Shrouds Bestowed.” Both should be out within the next year barring any unforeseen delays, which there usually are.

9. What direction do you see your music heading into on future releases?
o That’s a really good question. We’re on hiatus right now so only time will tell. There’s always something brewing.

10. What are some bands or musical styles that have influenced your music and also what are you listening to nowadays/
o Classic metal from the early 80’s, you surely know the bands. Classic 2nd wave black metal bands that really crystallized the aesthetic and sounds, ala Darthrone, Burzum, Immortal, Gorgoroth and Emperor. In addition the Finnish scene is huge for us. Horna, Sargeist, Satanic Warmaster, etc. Also classical and In Slaughter Natives.

11. Does Satanism or Occultism play any role in your music?
o Satanism plays an essential part in black metal. It’s the embodiment of power and will, as well as the complete antithesis to all that is light or holy. Doesn’t black metal have to be satanic by definition? One could say that regardless of your personal views, the act of creating and performing black metal is very satanic in nature, purely due to the fact that it’s an extreme out pouring of energy into the atmosphere with the intentions of releasing the emotions of the performer and affecting those of the listener in accordance with the ideas or agenda of the artist. All strongly evocative music is satanic by nature, whether or not it literally conveys those themes.
