This is a review of another recording from Serpent Ov Old with the musical style being occult, dark ambient as well as the songs being chamber versions of the original songs on the "Withering Hope" album with this release being self released in 2012 and called "Serpent Ov Synth".
Synths which are the only musical instrument present on this recording bring a very black metal influenced form of occult, dark/ambient to the music along with some neo- classical elements to create a sound of t heir own.
Vocals and song writing are all absent from this recording with the music being all instrumental, while the song themes cover Satanism, Occultism and Suicide, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound with some of the songs being long and epic in length.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Serpent Ov Old and if you are a fan of black metal influenced occult/dark ambient, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Banished" "Drowning In Sorrow" and "Poison Pure Suicide". RECOMMENDED BUY.
