Pandiscordian Necrogenesis are a 1 man band from San Francisco, California that plays an improv version of raw and primitive black metal and this is a review of their self released 2010 ep "Cerebral Quasaric Lacreations".
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a good amount of black beats being thrown into the music, while the bass playing is absent from the recording with the music focusing more on drums, guitars, and vocals.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast improv style black metal riffs that are very dark, old school raw and primitive sounding along with a brief use of death metal elements being thrown into the riffing and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.
Vocals are all grim sounding black metal screams that utilize a depressive tone at times, while the lyrics cover dark themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it in the true old school black metal tradition.
In my opinion Pandiscordian Necrogenesis are a very great sounding raw and primitive improv black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "I' "IV" and VI"> RECOMMENDED BUY.
