Harda Skit are a duo from Finland that plays a very grim and cold form of black metal in the traditional way and this is a review of their 2013 ep "Ros Rus" which was released by Art Of Propaganda.
The ep starts out with some clean guitars which are used quite a bit on this recording and also bring in elements of progressive music along with some melodic leads a few seconds later and then the drums and black metal guitar riffs are added into the music and then the music goes into a faster direction along with some blast beats and grim screams while also mixing in mid paced sections along with a good amount of dark sounding melodies that are added into the solos which enhance the darkness this duo produces as well as mixing in some powerful sounding bass guitars.
Once the ep goes into the second sound there are some experimental sound effects being added into the music before going into some melodic riffs and leads and the screams in the song also bring in a depressive black metal feeling and after a few minutes it goes into a more old school and fast direction as well as mixing in blast beats as well as mixing in slow and mid paced parts, when the song gets closer to the end acoustic guitars make a return to the music briefly which also to the heavier parts getting more melodic.
Song lyrics are written in Norwegian and cover Satanism, Gloom and Black Comedy themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, dark and heavy sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording as well as both of the songs being very long and epic in length.
In my opinion Harda Skit are a very great sounding grim and cold black metal duo and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Skjaersliden". RECOMMENDED BUY.
