IardarMegin are a 1 man band from Germany that plays an atmospheric, pagan and occult form of black metal and this is a review of his self released 2014 demo "Mittwinterblutritus".
A very slow, dark and raw black metal sound starts off the ep along with some grim screams and melodic guitar leads a few seconds later and after a couple of minutes acoustic guitars are added into certain sections of the recording bringing in more of a progressive and ritualistic feeling to the musical style.
You can hear a great amount of atmosphere in the music being brought in by the guitars alone which also bring in a great amount of 90's black metal elements and all of the tracks stick to a slow or mid paced direction while still using a decent amount of melody as well as keeping everything grim sounding.
IardarMegin creates a very raw, grim and atmospheric style of pagan occult black metal with his musical sound as well as bringing a very dark, and ritualistic feeling to his songs, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in German and cover shamanism, occultism, heathenism, nature and folklore.
In my opinion IardarMegin are a very great sounding atmospheric, pagan and occult black metal project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo.8 out of 10.
