Chaoscraft are a 1 man band from Greece that plays a very raw and melodic form of black metal and this is a review of his 2014 album "Procreation Through Disaster" which was released by War Against Yourself Records.
Clean playing starts off the album along with all of the musical instruments sounding very powerful and after awhile the music starts going into more of a fast, raw and melodic black metal direction along with blast beats, guitar leads and high pitched screams and at time s death metal growls can be heard in certain sections of the recording.
There is a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts present throughout the recording and when the clean parts make their return at times they bring in an atmospheric feeling to the recording and the solos and leads bring a heavy Swedish style of black metal influence to the songs when they are utilized and when one of the tracks brings in a brief use of spoken word samples which also takes the music into more of a blasphemous direction.
Chaoscraft plays a very fast, raw and melodic style of black metal that is very old school and heavily influenced by the Swedish bands with a touch of death metal, the production sounds very strong and powerful while the lyrics cover Anti-Religious, Anti Authority and Chaos themes.
In my opinion Chaoscraft are a very great sounding fast, raw and melodic black metal project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Broken Shackles" "Damned Roots" and "Annihilation Dwells In Dusk". 8 out of 10.
