Idolatria are a band from Italy that plays a very blasphemous and satanic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Breviarium Daemonicus Idolatrorum" which was released by Mater Tenebrarum Records.
Grim screams start off the album along with the music going for a very fast, raw and extreme style of black metal along with a great amount of blast beats and the music also has a war metal feeling at times as well as the music adding in morbid sounding melodies at times and the songs also have a brutal approach throughout the recording.
As the album progresses the band starts bringing in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them while the main focus remains more on a fast and chaotic style of black metal and a couple of the later tracks also brings in a small amount of melodic Gregorian chants and deep growls before returning back to a more raw and aggressive direction which also shows the screams getting more high pitched.
Idolatria plays a style of black metal that is very extreme, fast, raw and generates a good amount of chaos from beginning to end, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover Satanism, Luciferian, Anti Christianity and Blasphemous themes.
In my opinion Idolatria are a very great sounding fast, satanic and blasphemous black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Sathanas Cult - The Redeemer" "Reminsence And Folklire Of Lucifer" and "Resolution Of Vatican's Head". 8 out of 10.
