Nerevendetta are a band from Italy that plays black/viking metal and this is a review of their self released 2016 album "Magnum Chaos".
Melodic guitar leads start off the album and they are a very huge part of t he recording and once the keyboards and heavy guitars kick in the music starts bringing in more of a viking metal style along with some grim yet high pitched screams and the riffs also use a great amount of melody and when the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and clean playing can also be heard in certain sections of the album and folk instruments can also be heard in the music briefly and when tremolo picking is utilized it gives the music more of a raw black metal feeling and a couple of the tracks are long and epic in length.
Neravendetta plays a style of black/viking metal that is very epic, melodic and atmospheric sounding, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover nature, science and Sardinian history.
In my opinion Neravendetta are a very great sounding black/viking metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "A Cosmic Journey" "Sirius" and "Sailing To Chaos". 8 out of 10.
