Necandi Homines are a band from Italy that plays an experimental mixture of black and doom metal and this is a review of their 2017 album "Da'at" which was released by Vacula Productions.
Lo-fi soundscapes start off the album along with some female vocals a few seconds later and the music also gets very avant garde and experimental at times and demonic voices can also be heard in the background briefly and a great portion of the tracks are very long and epic in length.
On the second track clean playing is added onto the recording which leads up to a heavier musical direction few minutes later along with some high pitched black metal screams making their presence known along with a very depressive and suicidal edge while clean avant garde vocals are also used at times and the slow riffs are very heavily influenced by doom metal.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them and clean playing is also utilized on the other tracks as well and one song is also all instrumental and all of the songs stick to a very slow musical direction while also being very diverse at the same time.
Necandi Homines plays a style of black metal that is very experimental and hypnotic sounding while also mixing in elements of doom metal, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover misanthropy, introspective and negative existentialism themes.
In my opinion Necandi Homines are a very great experimental mixture of black and doom metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Faceless Sculpture" and "Through Deep Waters". 8 out of 10.
