Feral are a solo project from New Brunswick, Canada that has been featured before in this zine and plays a very raw form of black metal and this is a review of his 2017 album "Forever Resonating In Blood" which will be released in November by Horror Gore Pain Death Productions.
Acoustic guitar playing starts off the album and also add in a touch of folk music before going into more of a heavier direction which also introduces high pitched black metal screams onto the recording which also have a depressive feeling at times while the guitar solos and leads are also done in a very melodic fashion,
All of the musical instruments sounding very powerful while the faster sections of the songs bring in a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling along with the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
Most of the tracks being very long and epic in length will acoustic guitars are also being utilized on some of the later songs along with some melodic singing, spoken word parts and death metal growls being added into certain sections of the recording and at times the riffs also bring in a decent amount of melody.
Feral creates another recording that remains true to t he raw style of black metal from his previous release while also showing some progress as a musician, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover Celtic Occultism, Clairvoyance, Esoteric and Mental Conflict themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Feral and if you are a fan of raw black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "While Flowers Die" "Jaded By Modern Times" and "As I Kneel Before Your Grave". 8 out of 10.
