Hell's Coronation are a band from Poland that plays a musical style they refer to as 'necro ritual black doom metal' and this is a review of their 2018 ep "Unholy Blades Of The Devil" which will be released in March by Godz of War Productions.
Sex sounds along with some synths and ritualistic spoken word parts start off the ep before going into a heavier direction which also introduces grim black metal screams onto the recording along with the slower sections of the songs being very heavily influenced by doom metal.
Most of the music is very heavily rooted in the early 90's while the solos and leads are done in a very melodic fashion along with the music also mixing the synths in the heavier sections of the songs at times as well as all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and the riffs also bring in a decent amount of melody, most of the tracks are very long and epic in length and the music always sticks to a slow direction.
Hell's Coronation plays a musical style that takes early 90's era occult black metal and mixes it with doom metal to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very old school while the lyrics cover Satanism, Luciferian and Darkness themes.
In my opinion Hell's Coronation are a very great sounding old school mixture of occult black and doom metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Temple Of Wickedness" and "Luciferian Wind Blows From The North". 8/5 out of 10.
