Husk Of Elohim are a duo from Colorado that plays an occult form of black metal and this is a review of their 2017 demo :purity Inversion Malignant" which was released by First Spell Productions.
Raw tremolo picking starts off the song which is also 13 minute in length and called "Mantra Of The Black Plume before going into a very fast direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats along with the riffs also bringing in a decent amount of dark sounding melodies.
All of the musical instruments on the demo have a very powerful sound to them while the vocals are mostly grim yet high pitched black metal screams which are kind of mixed down in the mix along with the track also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast part and the solos and lead are also done in a very raw and melodic fashion as well as some clean playing also being used briefly, keyboards can also be heard in the background briefly.
Husk Of Elohim plays a style of occult black metal that is very raw, melodic and old school sounding, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Easter, Western Occultism, and Metaphysical themes.
In my opinion Husk of Elohim are a very great sounding occult black metal duo and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. 8/5 out of 10.
