This is a review of a split album between Greece's Wargoat and Chile's Black Ceremonial Kult called "Unapproachable Laws of The Abyss" which will be released in June by Godz Of War Productions and we will start off the review with Wargoat a band that plays a very bestial form of black/war metal.
Their side of the split starts out with a very fast and brutal sound along with a great amount of blast beats while the vocals are mostly bestial growls while with the riffs also adding in a small amount of dark sounding melodies as well as the music having a great amount of 90's influences.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very chaotic fashion while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and black metal screams can also be heard briefly and acoustic guitars are added onto the closing track which is also an instrumental.
Wargoat plays a style of bestial black/war metal that is very fast, raw and chaotic sounding, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Satanism, Anti Christianity, Blasphemy and Hatred themes.
In my opinion Wargoat are a very great sounding bestial war/black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out their side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Principles Of A Forgotten Age.
Next up is Black Ceremonial Kult who return with their bestial style of black/death metal.
Their side of the split starts out with some atmospheric soundscapes along with some ritualistic chants before going into a very fast and raw war metal direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats along with the vocals being mostly bestial growls while t he music also has a lot of 90's influences.
Throughout their side of the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while black metal screams are also used at times along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them as well as the riffs also adding in a small amount of dark sounding melodies and both of their tracks are very long and epic in length and the tremolo pickign also gives the songs a more raw feeling.
Black Cweremonial Kult creates another recording that remains true to their bestial style of black/death metal, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Left Hand Path and Serpent worship themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Black Ceremonial Kult and if you are a fan of bestial black/death metal, you should check out their side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACK "The Laws Of The Serpent.
In my opinion this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of bestial black/death and war metal. 8/5 out of 10.
