Destroyer Attack are a band from Ecuador that plays a primitive mixture of black and death metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Solve Et Coagula" which will be released on July 13th by Morbid Skull Records.
A very fast and raw sound starts off the album along with a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats while the vocals also bring in black metal s creams along with the riffing also bringing in a great amount of dark sounding melodies and the music also brings in a lot of 80's and 90's South American black and death metal influences.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the vocals also utilizing a lot of old school black/death metal growls while the solos and leads are done in a very dark and melodic style but also having their chaotic moments as well as some of the fast riffing also adding in elements of war metal and the music always remains very heavy.
Destroyer Attack plays a musical style that mixes the most primitive elements of 80's and 90's black and death metal to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very raw and old school while the lyrics cover violence, satanism and occultism themes.
In my opinion Destroyer Attack are a very great sounding primitive mixture of black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Burying The Name Of The Messiah" "In The Darkness Of My Mind" "Supremacy of The Evil And Chaos" and "Evoking The Hidden Forces". 8 out of 10.
