Vleddermos are a duo from the Netherlands that plays a musical style they refer to as being black horror metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Worshippers Of The Unholy Gather Under The Full Moon which was released by Tribulacion Production.
Horror movie style organs start off the album and they also mix in with a lot of the heavier sections of the music. When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can also be heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling along with the vocals adding in a very crazy and high pitched style of black emtal screams.
A good amount of 90's influences can also be heard in the bands musical style while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. At times the music also gets very experimental sounding along with the songs also capturing a lo-fi atmosphere and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Demonic voices can also be heard briefly and at times the music also gets very ritualistic and avant garde sounding as well as some spoken word parts and movie samples also being used briefly as the album progresses. The production sounds very dark, raw and lo-fi while the lyrics cover occultism, rituals and horror themes.
In my opinion Vleddermos are a very great sounding black horror metal duo and if you are looking for something t hat is very different, you should check out t his album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "A Malign Entity Possesses Me Eternally" and "Into The Stormy Night". 8 /5 out of 10.
