Porcha are a band from Russia that plays a very raw and noisy form of black metal and this is a review of their 2019 demo which was released by Nailed Nazarene Industries.
A very dark sounding drone orientated intro starts off the demo while also introducing grim sounding black metal screams onto the recording before going into a heavier direction. Some of the amp distortion also adds elements of harsh noise onto the recording when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard.
When tremolo picking is utilized it also gives the music more of a raw feeling along with the riffs also adding in a small amount of dark sounding melodies at times. The songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as capturing the brutality of war metal in some parts of the recording.
Porcha plays a style of black emtal that is very raw and also takes touches of harsh noise and drone to create a very extreme style. The production sounds very dark, raw and lo-fi while the lyrics cover darkness and occultism themes.
In my opinion Porcha are a very great sounding raw and noisy black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ritual Murder In The Dark" and "Devouring The Depths". 8 out of 10.
