Heretic Ritual are a band from Mexico that plays a bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2020 album "War-Desecration-Genocide/ Passages Of Infinite Hatred" which will be released on November 10th by Death in pieces Records.
Horror movie samples start off the album before going into a heavier direction while also introducing grim b lack metal screams and bestial growls onto the recording. When the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats, tremolo picking and war metal elements can be heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling.
A lot of the music has its roots in the 90's but mixed with a more modern day aggression while dark sounding melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing. The songs also add in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the solos and leads also being done in a very chaotic yet old school style.
All of the musical instruments on the recording also having a very powerful sound to them, along with all of the music also always sticking to a very raw and brutal direction and the album closes with a cover of Archgoat's "Hammer Of Satan". The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Occultism, Darkness, Genocide, Death, War and Blasphemy themes.
In my opinion Heretic Ritual are a very great sounding bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Infinite Fire" "Macabre Magic Adoration" and "Rat Krusher Kommando".8out of 10.
