Väkären/The Personification Of Time & Dust/2021 Single Review

 

    Väkären  are  an  international  band  with  members  from  Sweden  and  the  United  States  that  plays  a  very  raw,  atmospheric  and  depressive  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2021  single  "The  Personification  Of  Time  &  Dust".

  Melodic  riffing  starts  off  the  single  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  yet  depressive  black  metal  screams.  Growls  can  also  be  heard  at  times  along  with  the  faster  sections  of  the  second  track  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  blast b eats  and  most  of t he  music  sticks  to  either  a  slow  or  mid  tempo  direction.

  Väkären  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  raw,  depressive  ant  atmospheric  sounding.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  dark  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Väkären  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw,  depressive  and  atmospheric  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a f an  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  single.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "The  Personification  Of  Time  &  Dust".  8  out  of  10.
