This is a review of another recording from United kingdom's solo project A.R.:.O.:.A.A which shows the music going for more of an ambient, atmospheric, lo-fi, occult, raw and ritualistic form of black metal and the demo was released in 2019 by Inverse Solar Reqvriem and called "GRNTRLCSTRMCRYSTLSPNRRLLTR V.XI.MMIX".
Ambient style synths and clean playing start off the demo before going into more of a heavier and atmospheric direction. The only track that is present on this recording is also over 20 minutes in length while choirs can also be heard briefly along with the music also bringing in more of a lo-fi atmosphere.
The music also has its ritualistic moments while tortured sounding black metal screams can also b e heard in certain sections of the recording. The recording also sticks to a slower direction for the first half of the demo along with some clear vocals also being used briefly before adding in some fast playing, raw tremolo picking and blast beats.
On this recording A.R.:.O.:.A.A takes his ambient, atmospheric, lo-fi, occult, raw and ritualistic style of black metal that is a little bit more different from previous releases. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Occultism and Ritualistic themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from A.R.:.O.:.A.A and if you are a fan of ambient, atmospheric, lo-fi, occult, raw and ritualistic black metal, you should check out this demo. 8 out of 10.
