Triumph, Genus are a band from Czechia that has had music reviewed before in this zine and plays an old school form of black metal and this is a review of their 2023 compilation album "Na kom je nyní tolik z mojí vůle?" which was released by Necroeucharist Productions.
A very fast and raw sound starts off the compilation along with a great amount of tremolo picking and blast b eats. Vocals are done in mostly a grim b lack metal style while the music is very heavily rooted in the old school style and melodies can also b e heard in some of the guitar riffing.
Acoustic guitars can also be heard on a couple of songs while the songs also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. All of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them along with a couple of tracks also adding in a small amount of synths and a lot of the tracks sound like they could of easily been recorded and released more than 20 years ago, melodic guitar leads are also added on t he closing t rack.
On this compilation Triumph, Genus plays a style of black emtal t hat is very raw and aggressive in t he old school tradition. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Czech and cover Nietzschean Philosophy, Anti Modernism and Misanthropy themes.
In my opinion t his is a very great sounding collection from Triumph, Genus and if you are a fan of r aw and old school b lack metal, you should check out this compilation. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Jest mi slavností zdroj zdařilých obměn na všem živém" "Mýtit tu černou nezdařilost" and "Jiné Se Má Mými Svĕty Rozléha". 8 out of 10.
