Tigguo Cobauc are a band from the united Kingdom that plays a musical style they refer to as being "Enochian Black Metal' and this is a review of their 2024 album "A Fountain Of Anguish Is Gone" which will be released in April as a joint effort between Trepanation Recordings, Fetzner Death and H-Soundmusic Records.
Death metal growls and black metal screams start off the ep along with some heavier riffing a few seconds alter. Elements of sludge and doom metal are also added into the slower sections of the songs while melodies can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing and some of the tracks also add in some clear singing.
At times the music also gets very atmospheric sounding while synths can also be heard in certain sections of the recording. When the music speeds up a decent amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling along with the recording also mixing in touches of punk.
A couple of the tracks are also very long and epic in length and the ep also adding in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as all of the musical instruments on the recording also having a very powerful sound to them. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Enochian Magick, Inner Turmoil, Heartless Times Exposed Grudges and a Relentless Struggle Against Anxiety.
In my opinion Tigguo Cobauc are a very great sounding atmospheric mixture of black, sludge and doom metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Craving For Slay" "Inner Disaster" and "Deliverance". 8 out of 10..
