Deathless Void are a band from the Netherlands that has had music reviewed before in this zine and on this recording goes for a very futuristic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2024 album "The Voluptuous Fire Of Sin" which will be released in September by Iron Bonehead Productions.
Apocalyptic beats and spoken word samples start off the album along with some synths in the background before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats while the vocals are mostly angry sounding black metal screams.
Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing while the album also has its dissonant moments. Throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the music also mixing in influences from both the old school and modern era's of the genre.
Some of the deeper vocals also add in a touch of death metal and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very chaotic yet melodic style, operatic female vocals can also be heard briefly and one of the tracks is also very long and epic in length. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover the abyss, darkness and apocalyptic themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Deathless Void and if you are a fan of r aw, aggressive and dissonant black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Psychedelic Warfare" "The Ecstasy Of Sin" and "Curse Upon You". 8 out of 10.
