Von Jeglichem Wort are a solo project from Germany that has been featured before in this zine and on this recording plays a mixture of black metal, ambient and drone and this is a review of his 2025 ep "unter dem eindruck der grossen stunde" which was released by Elf Eggs.
A very dark yet distorted sound starts off the ep while all of the tracks are also very long and epic in length. Noises and drones which also mixes in with the heavier guitars can also be heard at times along with the recording also having its experimental moments and a lot of the music also sounds improvised.
Ambient style soundscapes and synths are also utilized quite a bit throughout the recording while the music also has its atmospheric moments and mixes in elements of black metal. All of the songs stay in a slower direction and also avoids the use of any vocals, bass guitars are also added on the closing track.
On this recording Von Jeglichem takes black metal, noise, ambient and drone and mixes them together to create a very haunting release as well as keeping everything instrumental while the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Von Jeglishem Wort and if you are a fan of black metal, noise, ambient and drone, you should check out this ep.
