1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?
We are an old and evil black metal project, bringing back the essence of primitive occult black metal.
2.Recently you have released your first full length, can you tell us a little bit more about the musical style that you went for on the recording?
It's a dark and raw expression. The atmospheres and necromantic vocals aren't accidental; our influences are reflected in every song, along with our own additions.
3.All of the band members are also involved with other bands, what is it that you bring into the music of 'Oath Of Malignancy' that you have not been able to do with your other groups?
Oath of Malignancy has allowed us to venture into creating dark and dense atmospheres that accompany the malevolent and profane lyrics.
4.A lot of your lyrics cover Occultism and Witchcraft themes, can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in the dark arts?
My interest in the dark arts goes beyond the superficial; it is something deeper and a fundamental part of our existence. The hidden side of human consciousness, the unknown, the astral planes, chaos, darkness, rituals, knowledge, and personal experiences fill us with inspiration that we express in our music and lyrics.
5. What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Oath Of Malignancy'?
The name reveals itself to us.
6.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the new album cover?
The antique painting from 1636 depicts a witches' coven with a dark aesthetic, perfect for this dark music.
7.Has the band done any live shows or open to the idea?
We're not interested at the moment.
8.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black metal?
Fans of old-school, raw black metal have really liked it.
9.What is going on with some of the other bands or musical projects these days that some of the band members are a part of?
They're working on new music and new projects.
10.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?
We'll keep releasing music, and you know, we'll see what happens.
11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
Our influences have been late '80s and '90s black metal, as well as newer bands such as Mystifier, Necromantia, Moenen of Xezbeth-Varathron, Forbidden Temple, among others.
12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
Sure, we don't do this for the money
