Evil Warriors are a band from Germany that has had music reviewed before in this zine and on this recording plays a very dissonant form of black metal and this is a review of their self titled 2026 album which will be released in April by Into Endless Chaos Records.
Synths and clean playing start off the album before going into a heavier direction while the vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams. Most of the tracks are also very long and epic in length along with saxophones also being used in certain sections of the recording and blast beats are added into the faster sections of the songs.
When tremolo picking is added into the fast riffing they also give the music more of a raw feeling while melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing. At times the album also gets very dissonant sounding along with the recording also bringing in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts,.
Clean playing can also be heard at times along with some songs also adding in dark soundscapes as well as all of the musical instruments sounding very powerful, when guitar solos and leads are utilized they also stick to a more dissonant style and clear singing is also added towards the end. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in German and cover darkness and death themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Evil Warriors and if you are a fan of dissonant black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Zweifel" and "Fieber". 8 out of 10.
