Clean playing starts off the album before going into a heavier direction while the vocals are mostly angry sounding black metal screams. Melodies are also added into a lot of the guitar riffing along with the faster sections of the songs also adding in a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking which also gives the recording more of a r aw feeling.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style while most of the tracks are also very long and epic in length. Folk instruments are also utilized at times along with the album also having its atmospheric moments, the recording also adds in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and one song is also an instrumental.
On this recording Duir continues to expand on the folk influenced style of atmospheric black metal that they introduced on previous releases. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Italian and is a concept album based upon the first world war.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Duir and if you are a fan of folk influenced atmospheric black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Manifesto" and "Oltre i'alba". 8 out of 10.
