Pyromancer are a duo from Kentucky that plays a bestial mixture of black and death metal and this is a review of their 2015 demo which was re-issued as a mini-cd in 2016 by Godz Of War Productions.
A very dark and heavy sound starts off the ep before going into a very fast and raw war metal direction t hat uses a great amount of blast beats, high pitched black metal screams and bestial growls and the music is very heavily rooted in the 90's days of black and death metal and you can also hear evil melodies at times.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and as the ep progresses some of the riffs bring in even more of a catchy second wave style and no guitar solos or leads are ever present while the music does always remain heavy raw and heavy.
Pyromancer goes back to the 90's styles of black, war and death metal and mixes them together to create some very raw, evil and bestial sounding metal, the production sound s very dark and raw while the lyrics cover occultism, darkness and blasphemous themes.
In my opinion Pyromancer are a very great sounding raw mixture of black, death and war metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Barbaric Wrath" and "Violent God". 8/5 out of 10.
