This is a review of a split album between Chile's Black Ceremonial Kult and U.S.A's Genocide Beast which was released by Old Temple and consists of both bands demo's and we will start off the review with Black Ceremonial Kult a band that plays a bestial mixture of black and death metal.
Their side of the split starts out with ritualistic soundscapes and melodic chants as well as some demonic voices before going into a very fast war metal direction that also uses a great amount of blast beats while the vocals are a mixture of bestial growls and black metal screams and the riffs also bring in a decent amount of morbid sounding melodies.
All of the musical instruments on their side of the recording have a very powerful sound to them while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the solos and leads have a very dark yet melodic style to them and their is also a couple of other intros which introduces a small amount of keyboards and spoken word parts before reverting back to a more brutal direction.
Black Ceremonial plays a musical style that is mostly rooted in the bestial black/death and war metal tradition and mixing the Australian style in with a more growling approach to vocals, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Black Magick, Luciferian, and Occultism themes.
In my opinion Black Ceremonial Kult are a very great sounding bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "N.O.X" and "Lucifer Rising".
Next up is Genocide Beast another band that plays a bestial mixture of black and death metal.
Their side of the split starts out with distorted radio sounds and spoken word samples and after the intro the music goes into a very fast and brutal war metal direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats as well as some bestial growls and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
A great amount of 90's black and death metal influences can be heard in the bands musical style along with a great amount of darkness and blasphemy and all of the riffing is done in power chords along with a good amount of tremolo picking which also keeps all of the music raw and brutal and guitar leads are used briefly on the last track.
Genocide Beast plays a musical style that takes the most raw and brutal elements of war, black and death metal and mixes them together to create a very heavy recording, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover blasphemy, destruction, and darkness themes.
In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of war and bestial black/death metal. 8/5 out of 10.
In my opinion Genocide Beast are a very great sounding bestial black/death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out their side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Eradication Of the Christian Dogma" and "Genocide Upon The Children Of Nazarene".
In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and would recommend it to all fans of bestial black/ death and war metal. 8 out of 10.
