Pandemonium are a band from Poland that has been featured before in this zine and plays a musical style which to refer to as 'satanic dark metal' which mixes black metal with some elements of doom and death metal and this is a review of their 2017 album "Nihilist" which will be released on February 15th by Old Temple.
Atmospheric sounds start off the album along with some female vocals a few seconds later which also gives the music more of an esoteric feeling before adding in some powerful sounding bass guitars which also leads up to some heavy riffs and high pitched black metal screams and the solos and leads are done in a very dark yet melodic fashion.
A lot of doom metal elements can be heard in the slower riffing while the vocals also mix in death metal growls and a great portion of the tracks are very long and epic in length along with the riffs also bringing in a decent amount of melody and there is also a brief use of spoken word parts and blast beats are also added into some of the songs and the music also brings in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
Pandemonium creates another recording that remains true to the satanic dark metal style of previous releases, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Satanism, Occultism and Darkness themes along with one track being written in Polish.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Pandemonium and if you are a fan of black, dark, doom, and death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Nation Of Slaves" "Temple Of Ghouls" "In Lord We Trust" and "The Darkest Valley". 8 out of 10.
