Orgg are a band from Italy that has had music reviewed before in this zine and on this recording plays a very fast, aggressive and melodic form of black metal and this is a review of their self released 2022 album "Dimonios" which will be released on June 20th.
A very epic sounding keyboard orientated intro starts off the album before going into a heavier musical direction. All of the instruments also have a very powerful sound to them while the vocals are mostly grim yet high pitched sounding black metal screams along with some growls also being utilized at times.
When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can also be heard while the riffs also add in a lot of melody. The songs also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the tremolo picking also giving the album more of a raw feeling when they are utilized as well as the music also mixing in influences from both the modern and old school era and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style and as the album progresses keyboards also make a brief return.
On this recording Orgg remains true to the fast, aggressive and melodic style of black metal that they had established on the previous release. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover the Great White War.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Orgg and if you are a fan of fast, aggressive and melodic black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "A Darker Shade" "Feral War" and "A Testament". 8 out of 10.
