Obscure Lupine Quietus are a band f rom t he United Kingdom t hat plays a raw form of occult black metal and this is a review of their 2014 demo "Drenched In The Current Of Lucifer" which was released by Inverse Solar Reqvriem.
A very dark and heavy sound starts off the demo while you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording. Both of the tracks are also very long and epic in length along with the vocals being mostly high pitched black metal screams and the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic style.
When the music speeds up a decent amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing and and the tracks also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the music also adds in a small amount of atmospheric touches.
Obscure Lupine Quieus plays a style of occult black metal that is very raw, d ark and aggressive sounding. The production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover Occultism, predatory Spiritualism and Transcendence themes.
In my opinion Obscure Lupine Quietus are a very great sounding raw occult black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this dmeo. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Drenched in The Current Of Lucifer". 8/5 out of 10.
