Muldenkobold are a band from Germany that plays a very raw form of black metal and this is a review of their 2026 album "Die Existens Der Perversion Des Geistes" which will be released by Wolfmond Production.
Keyboards start off the album before going into a heavier direction while the vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams. When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the recording more of a raw feeling and the music also adds in a lot of old school touches.
Throughout the album you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while one track also adds in a brief use of samples. Spoken words can also be heard at times along with all of the musical instruments also having a very powerful sound to them as well as some of the songs also being very long and epic in length, some of the riffing also adds in a small amount of melody.
Muldenkobold plays a style of black metal that is very raw, misanthropic and satanic sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in German and cover Satanism, Misanthropy, Nihilistic Thoughts and the Darker Aspects Of Rural Life.
In my opinion Muldenkobold are a very great sounding raw, misanthropic and satanic black metal b and and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording.
