Cabra/We Are Infinitus/2019 Full Length Review

This  is  the  final  review  of  a  recording  from  Cleveland,  Ohio's  solo  project  which  continues  the  fast,  aggressive  and  melodic  style  of  black  metal  from  previous  releases  and  the  album  is  going  to  be  self  released  in  2019  and  is  called  "We  Are  Infinitus".

A  very  fast  and  aggressive  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  great  amount of  melody  as  well  as  the  vocals  being  mostly  grim  black  metal  screams  and  when  tremolo  picking  is  utilized  it  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  done  in  a  very  melodic  style  while  the  music  also  mixes  in  a  great  amount  of  90's  era  Swedish  influences  along  with  the  songs  also  bringing  in  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  as  well  as  a  couple  of  the  tracks  being  long  and  epic  in  length  and  synths  can  also  be  heard  briefly on  the  closing  song.

On  this  recording  Cabra  remains  true  to  his  fast,  aggressive  and  melodic  style  of  black  metal,  the  production  sounds  very  powerful  for  being  a  self  released  recording  while  the  lyrics  cover  war,  destruction,  misanthropy  and  anti  religion  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Cabra  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  fast,  aggressive  and  melodic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Emerald  Eyes"  and  "We  Are  Infinitus".  8  out  of  10.

Cabra/The Ravens Oracle/Colossal Force Records/2018 CD Review

This  is  a  review  of  another  recording  from  Cabra  which  continues  the  fast,  aggressive  and  melodic  style  of black  metal  from  their  previous  release  and  the  album  was  released  by  Colossal  Force  Records  in  2018  and  called  "The  Raven's  oracle".

A  very  fast  and r aw  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  pickign  and  brutal  blast  beats  while the  riffs  also  add  in  a  great  amount  of  melody  along  with  the  solos  and  leads  being  done  in  a  very  melodic  style  and  the  vocals a re  mostly  grim  sounding  black  metal screams.

A  great  amount  of  Swedish  influences  can  also  be  heard  in  the  bands  musical  style  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  the  music  also  being  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  90's  and  a  couple  of  the  tracks  are  long  and  epic  in  length  as  well  as  one  track  also  introducing  clean  pagan  singing  onto  the  recording,  the  music  always  remains  heavy  and  as  the  album  progresses  a  brief  use  of  spoken  word  parts  can  also  be  heard  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

Cabra  creates  another  recording  that  remains  true  to  the  fast,  aggressive  and  melodic  style  of  black  metal  from  their  previous  release,  the  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  mythology,  war,  destruction,  misanthropy  and  anti  religion  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  album  from  Cabra  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  fast,  aggressive  and  melodic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Funeral  For  the  Fallen"  "Fata  Morgana"  "So  Much  Blood"  and  "We  Will  End  You".  8  out  of  10.

Cabra  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  fast,  aggressive  and  melodic  sounding  in  the  90's  Swedish  tradition,  the  production  sounds  very  raw  and  heavy  while  the  lyrics  cover  war,  destruction,  misanthropy  and  anti  religion  themes.
