Mt. Cairn are a band from Loveland, Colorado that plays a raw form of black metal and this is a review of the music they have on there Myspace page.
Drums alternate between slow, midpaced to fast playing with some blast beats, while the bass playing has a very distorted tone that follows the riffs that are coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars are mostly raw black metal riffs that alternate between slow depressive/ambient style riffing to fast playing, and there are no lead guitars or solos present on the 2 songs present here.
Vocals are all high pitched black metal screams, while the lyrics are very dark and have a sense of nature to them, as for the production it sounds like the songs where recorded in a jam room and the music has a very raw and primal sound.
In my opinion Mt Cairn has some good music on their page and I am looking forward to hearing some more in the future. RECEMMONDED
