Goyim/Wispy Sculpting/2013 Demo Review

  This  is  the  final  review  of  a  demo  from  Goyim  which  continues  their  mixture  of  raw  black  metal  and  noise  sound  with  the demo  being  self  released  in  2013  and  called  "Wispy  Sculpting".

 "Pursuit  Of  Rejection"  which  is  also  the  first  song on  the  demo  opens  up  with  lo-fi  black metal  guitar  riffs,  fast  drums  and  high  pitched  screams  and  you  can  also  hear  guitar  leads  and  elements  of  harsh noise  in  the  song.

  "Our  Flesh  Was  A  Veil"  begins  with  experimental  noise  sounds  and  lo-fi  guitar  riffs  and  you  can  also  hear  black  metal  screams  kick  in  and  the  song  is  under  2  minutes.

  "Grimmest  VHS"  opens  up  with  fast,  raw  and  primitive  black  metal  guitar  riffs,  drums  and  high  pitched  screams  and  then  the  song  goes  in  a  slower  direction  and  mixes  in  noise  influences  while  also  sticking  to  a  black  metal  sound.

  "Preaching  Forms"  starts  up  with  soft  acoustic  guitar  playing  and  background  noises  and  a  minute  later  fast  black  metal  guitar  riffs,  drums  that  utilize  blast  beats  and  high  pitched  screams  kick  in  as  well  as  distorted  harsh  noise  sounds.

  "Skull  Scented"  kicks  in  with  experimental noise  sounds  and  after  awhile  the  music  goes  into  a  more  harsher  direction  along  with  harsh  sounding  power  electronics  and  high  pitched  screams  that  bring  in  elements  of  black  metal  and  towards  the  end  there  is  a  brief  use  of  guitar  solos  and  leads  being  utilized.  

  "Snug"  which  is  also  the  last  song  on  the  demo  begins  with  fast  black  metal  guitar  riffs,  drums  and  harsh  noise  sounds  and  the  song  stays  in  the  same  direction  and  there  are  no  vocals  present  with  the  music  being  all  instrumental.

  Song  lyrics  cover  dark  and  hateful  themes,  while  the  production  has   a  very  harsh,  lo-fi,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it

 In  my  opinion   this  is  another  great  sounding  demo  from  Goyim  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  black  metal  mixed  with  harsh  noise,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Pursuit  Of  Rejection"  and  "Grimmest  VHS".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.

Goyim/Worthless Light/2013 Demo Review

  This  is  a  review  of  another  recording  from  Goyim  which  continues  their  mixture  of  raw  black  metal  and  noise  sound  with  the  demo  being  self  released  in  2013  and  called  "Worthless  Light".

  "Black  Fluid"  which  is  also  the  first  song  on  the  demo  opens  up  with  distorted  amplifier  harsh  noise  sounds  and  after  a  minute  in  a  half  fast  drums  and  black  metal  screams  start  to  kick  in  and  the  black  metal  influence  starts  hitting  in  with  the  guitar  riffs  along  with  some  primitive  guitar  leads.

  'Deceit"  begins  with  harsh  and  lo-fi  noise  sounds  that  also  border  on  industrial  which  are  all  done  on  guitars  and  a  few  seconds  later  depressive  black  metal  screams  start  to  kick  in  and  yo  can  hear  programmed  drum  beats  in  the  background.

  "High  On  The  Blood  Of  My  Enemies"  starts  up  with  harsh,  lo-fi  and  fast  black  metal  guitar  riffs  and  blast  beats  from t he  drums  before  adding  in  high  pitched  screams  and  the  song  is  under  2  minutes.

  "Rat  Shit  Eyes"  opens  up  with  harsh,  lo-fi  noise  sounds  and  a  minute  later  spoken  word  parts  start  coming into  the  song  along  with  dark  sounding  drones.

  "Let  The  Drowsy  King  Sleep"  returns  back  to  black  metal  with  distorted  noises  sounds  and  fast  raw  and  primitive  black  metal  guitar  riffs  and  leads  along  with  blast  beats  from  the drums  and  you  can  also  hear  screams  in  the  background  and  the  song  closes  with  lo-fi  elements.

  "Shivering  Dog"  kicks  in  with  distorted  guitar  drone/noise  sounds  and  after  3  minute  high  pitched  black  metal/noisecore  screams  start  to  kick  in  and  the  song  is  over  8  minutes  long  and  sticks  to  a  slower  pace.

  "Worthless  Light"  which  is  also  the  last  song  on  the  demo  begins  with  fast,  raw  and  primitive  black  metal  guitar  riffs  along  with  harsh  noise  sounds,  drums  that  utilize  blast  beats  and  high  pitched  screams  that  also  utilize  depressive  elements.  

  Song  lyrics  cover  violent  and  hateful  themes,  while  the  production  has  a  very  dark,  lo-fi,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it  along  with  a  couple  of  songs  being  very  long  and  epic  in  length.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Goyim  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  black  metal  mixed  with  noise,  you  should  check  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Black  Fluid"  and  "Worthless  Light".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.

Goyim/Patriarchism/2013 Demo Review

  Goyim  are  a  1  man  band  from  Portland,  Maine  that  plays  a  mixture  of  raw  black  metal  and  harsh  noise  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  self  released  2013  demo  "Patriarchism".

  "Portrait  Of  Dark  Reasoning"  which  is  also  the  first  song  on  the  demo  opens  up  with  dark  guitar  riffs  and  then  adding  in  drums,  black  metal  screams  as  well  as  being  into  a  more  fast,  raw  and  primitive  direction  and  the  song  only  slows  down  for  a  second.

  "Cast  Their  Limbs  Into  The  Flames"  begins  with  blast  beats  and  fast,  raw  and  primitive  black  metal  guitar  riffs  which  also  utilize  some  melody  and  halfway  through  the  song  grim  vocals  finally  kick  in  along  with  some  deeper  vocals.

  "Gold  In  One  Hand"  starts  up  with  some  raw  and  melodic  black  metal  guitar  riffs  and  a  few  seconds  later  the  music  gets  heavier  and  faster  along  with  blast  beats  from  the  drums  and  black  metal  screams  that  also  utilize  some  depressive  elements  and  towards  the  end  the  music  slows  down  and  you  can  also  heat  elements  of  drone.

  "Boiled  In  Ale"  opens  up  with  noise  style  distortion  before  adding  in  fast  and  raw  black  metal  guitar  riffs,  drums,  and  depressive  screams  and  cries  as  well as  some  distorted  melodies  and  towards  the  end  guitar  leads  are  utilized.

  "The  Teeth  That  Gnaw  My  Loins"  kicks  in  with  lo-fi  noise  sounds  and  the  song  is  an  instrumental  under  2  minutes.

  "Neighbor's  Land"  returns  the  demo  back  to  black  metal  with  fat,  melodic,  raw  and  primitive  guitar  riffs  along  with  aggressive  dreams  before  adding  in  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  and  the  song  remains  in  the  same  direction.

  "A  True  Whore"  which  is  also  the  last  song  on  the  demo  opens  up  with  harsh  noise  sounds  and  after  awhile  black  metal  guitar  riffs  are  mixed  in  along  with  drums  that  utilize  blast  beats  and  high  pitched  screams

  Song  lyrics  cover  hateful  themes,  while  the  production  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  to  it.

  In  my  opinion  Goyim  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  raw  black  metal  and  harsh  noise  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  project.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Portrait  Of  Dark  Reasoning"  and  "Neighbor's  Land".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
