Örastimar/Zusammenbruch/Breaking The Chains/2026 Full Length Review

  This  is  the  final  review  of  a  recording  from  Germany's  Örastimar  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  raw  form  of  black  metal  and  the  album  was  released  in  2025  by  Breaking  The  Chains  and  called  "Zusammenbruch".

  A  very  fast  and  raw  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  along  with  the  music  also  capturing  the  aggression  of  the  old  school  era  of  the  genre  and  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing.

  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  all  of  the  songs  also  avoid  the  use  of  any  solos  and  leads  to  focus  more  on  a  heavier  direction,  clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  briefly  and  the  closing  track  is  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.

  On  this  recording  Örastimar  goes  for  more  of  a  faster  and  raw  style  of  black  metal  which  is  also  very  different  and  more  traditional  sounding  then  the  previous  recordings.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  German  and  cover  misanthropy,  hatred  and  anti  society  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is another  great  sounding  album  from  Örastimar  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  fast  and  raw  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Demotivatum"  and  "Katharse".  8 out  of  10.

Örastimar/Kalt/Breaking The Chains/2024 Full Length Review

  This  is  a  review  of  another  recording  from  Germany's  Örastimar  which  also  shows  the  music  going  for  a  raw  style  of  black  metal  and  the  album  was  released  in  2024  by  breaking  The  Chains  and  called  "Kalt".

  A  very  distorted  drone  orientated  intro  starts  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing.

  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  some  of  the  music  also  captures  a  very  lo-fi  atmosphere.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  dark  yet  melodic  style,  one  track  is  an  instrumental  and  also  adds  in  brief  use  of  synths  and  rain  and  thunder  sounds  before  returning  back  to  a  heavier  direction,  piano's,  choirs  and  spoken  word  smaples  are  also  added  towards  the  end.

  On  this  recording  Örastimar  takes  their  style  of  raw  black  metal  into  a  different  direction  as  well  as  getting  more  aggressive  at  the  same  time.  The  production  sounds  very  dark,  raw  and  lo-fi  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  German  and cover  misanthropy,  hatred  and  anti  society  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Örastimar  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Staubhallen"  and  "Gottesvieh".  8  out  of  10.

  This  is  a  review  of  another  recording  from  Germany's  Örastimar  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  raw  form  of  black  metal  and  the  ep  was  released  in  2023  on cassette  by  WitchCult  Records  and  called  "Gäst".

  A  very  fast  and  raw  sound  starts  off  the  ep  along  with  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  a  couple  of  the  tracks  also  adds  in  a  small  amount  of  clean  playing.

  Dark  soundscapes  and  noises  can  also  be  heard  briefly  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  one  song  also  adding  in  a  brief  use  of  synths  and  the  closing  track  also  adds  in  a  brief  use  of  melodic  guitar  leads.

  On  this  recording  Örastimar  continues  the  expand  on  the  raw  style  of  black  metal  that  they  introduced  on  their  previous  release.  The  production  sounds  very  dark,  raw  and  lo-fi  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  German  and  cover  misanthropy,  hated  and  anti  society  themes.    

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Örastimar  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "II"  and  "III".  8  out  of  10.

  Örastimar  are  a  duo  from  Germany  that  plays  a  very  raw  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  ep  "Näster"  which  was  released  by  WitchCult  Records.
