Satanic Hammer/Glorius Satana/2023 Full Length Review

 

  Satanic  Hammer  are  a  duo  from  Argentina  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  very  raw  and  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their   self  released  2023  album  "Glorius  Satana".

  Clean  playing  and  synths  start  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  heavier  musical  direction  while  the  riffs  also  ad d in  a  decent  amount  of  melody.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  add  in  a  lot  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast b eats  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  The  songs  also  add  in  a  great  amount  of  old  school  influences  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  as  the  album  progresses  clean  playing  also  makes  a  brief  return  before  returning  back  to  a  heavier  direction.

  On  this  recording  Satanic  Hammer  remain  true  to  the  raw  and  satanic  style  of  black  metal  that  they  have  established  on  previous  releases.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Occultism  and  Left  Hand  Path  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Satanic  Hammer  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  and  satanic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Ama  Lilith"  and  "Glorius  Satana".  8  out  of  10.

Satanic Hammer/Terror Under The Sign Of The Goat/2021 Demo Review

 

  Satanic  Hammer  are  a  duo  from  Argentina  that  plays  a  very  raw  and  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2021  demo  "Terror  Under  The  Sign  Of  The  Goat".

  A  very  raw  and  heavy  sound  starts  off  the  demo  along  with  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  while  the  vocals  are  mostyl  high  pitched  black  metal  screams.  Blast  beats  can  also  be  heard  in  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  as  well  as  the  music  also  adding  in  a  great  amount  of  90's  influences  and  all  of  the  drum  beats  are  also  programmed.

  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  a  lot  of  the  music  also  sounds  like  it  could  of  easily  been  recorded  and  released  more  than  20  years  ago.  Gun  shots  and  spoken  word  parts  can  also  be  heard  briefly  before  returning  back  to  a  heavier  direction  and  all  of  the  riffing  is  done  on  power  chords.

  Satanic  Hammer  plays  a  style  of  satanic  black  metal  that  is  very  raw,  old  school  and  traditional  sounding.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Blasphemy,  War  and  Violence  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Satanic  Hammer  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw  and  satanic  black  metal  duo  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "I  Am  The  Terror"  and  "Eternal  in  A  Life".  8  out  of  10.
