Weregoat/Eggs Of Gomorhh/Orgiastic Rape Of Ressurected Remains/Iron Bonehead Productions/Parasitic/Split Album Review

This  is  a  review  of  a  split  album  between  U.S.A's  Weregoat  and  Eggs  Of  Gomorhh  called  "Orgiastic  Rape  Of  Resurrected Remains"  which  will  be  released  in  August  as  a  joint  effort  between  Iron  Bonehead  Productions  and  Parasitic  and  we  will  start  off  the  review  with  Weregoat  who  return  with  their  bestial  mixture  of  war,  black  and  death  metal.

Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  the  sounds  of  war  and  possession  before  going  into  a  very  fast,  raw  and  brutal  war  metal  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  while  the  music  also  shows  some  influence  of  the  Brazilian  style.

Dark  sounding  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  chaotic  style  as  well  as  some  bestial  growls  also  being  utilized  at  times,  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  all  of  the  music  sticks  to  a  heavier  direction.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Lycanthropy,  Sex,  Demons  and  Violence.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Weregoat  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  war  and  bestial  black/death  metal,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of t he  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  " Demonic  Triphallus".

Next  up  is  Eggs  Of  Gomorhh  who  return  with  their  bestial  mixture  of  war,  black  and  death  metal.

Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  some  bestial  death  metal  growls  and  heavy  riffing  before  going  into  a  very  fast, r aw  and  brutal  war  metal  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast b eats.  High  pitched  black  metal  screams  can  also  be  heard  at  times.

Throughout  their  side  of  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  chaotic  style  and  all  of  the  music  sticks  to  a  heavier  direction.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  death,  torture  and  perversions.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Eggs  Of  Gomorhh  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  war  and  bestial  black/death  metal,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Beyond  Filth".

In  conclusion  I  feel  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  split  and  would  recommend  it  to  all  fans  of  war  and  bestial  black/death  meyal.  8  out  of  10.

Eggs Of Gomorhh Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what has been going on with the band since the recording of the new mCD?

The upcoming mCD „Outpregnate“ was recorded after the Continental Crucifixion tour 2007 in order to capture the primary essence and energetic outburst symbolising this journey. Since then we did a couple of one-off gigs around Europe and then recorded a split release with turkish horde Sarinvomit which hopefully will be out mid 2019. And also, we are having some interesting events happening this year, which I can only make you curious about for now.

2.You have a new mCD coming out this year, musically how does it differ from the stuff you have released in the past?

We have definitely accustomed ourselves to a more off an on-off brutality, razor sharp silences and ruthless aggression which was a bit covered by the reverbed approach to composition back in the days. We even play the „Rot Prophet“ songs a bit differently which you will soon be able to hear in the EoG/ Sarinvomit split record. Also, more attention is paid to the meticulous approach of backing vocals and the interaction between the 2 vocals.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band has explored with the newer music and also how would you describe your progress as songwriters over the years?

Some parts of a release’s perception if out of one’s control I guess. It is hard to objectively criticize the material in a relevant way to the globality of the discography for example. We have discovered ourselves dealing with themes as medieval satanism, transformations, lycanthropy, and mysticism, while obviously staying loyal to themes of ritualistic perversions and human taboos.

4.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the new mCD cover?

The universe created in this release is apocalyptic and surreal. Each song describes a scene that is adapted to its musical content. We had some ideas about underlining each scenario on the front cover but the final result we worked out with Daniel « Nekronikon » Corcuera proved to be a good summary of the songs. The details accurately represent the universe and the ambiance we wanted to project with this release.

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played over the years and also how would you describe your stage performance?

Starting from the early days, one of our best performances was in hometown with Grave Desecrator or in east Switzerland with Hell Militia. Energetic performances and a very psychotic ambiance. We had very successful shows on the Archgoat tour in Germany, Italy and Netherlands e.g. Lately Hamburg Untertage gig was really killer so we are going to release 2 songs on the split release with Sarinvomit this year. Stage performance wise, we like to keep it short, sharp and intense. Given our style it’s only logical. No blabla between songs, quick follow-ups, a merciless blitz attack.

6.Do you have any touring or show plans once the new album is released?

After « Outpregnate » is released, we are going to quickly release the split release as mentioned before. There will be very few shows this year because we are writing our 2nd album. At the same time there are always few exceptions and I’m sure there will be a couple of shows that we don’t know of yet.

7.On the new album you had also done an 'Arkhon Infaustus' cover, what was the decision behind doing your own version of one of the songs?

Bands like Arkhon Infaustus and Antaeus had an impact on the beginning of EoG, 10 years ago. At one point we decided to make a cover of it, and it was played at the same tempo as the original and we made couple of concerts playing it. Then after a while we thought about adapting it to our speed for it to make more sense inside the live set.

8.With the new album 'Krucyator Productions' are handling the cd format while 'War Arts Productions’ is re-releasing the cassette format, are you happy with the support both labels have given you so far?

Of course, we are very glad to have found professional devotees that have a common vision of things as us. These times it’s not very easy to find the determination in individuals and labels. This kind of serious approach definitely will allow us to bring things to a new level.

9. On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of war, black and death metal?

Actually, it’s an interesting subject because our style manages to piss off purists of every genre, which amuses us. There are elements of everything mixed up in a blend of relentless disease and perpetual hate that it doesn’t allow the listener (who is limited to his narrow style of attack) to fulfill the desire for his brutality. We feed on the hate and discontent of the listeners, so it’s a win-win situation.

10.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

We have an idea of how our musicianship is going to evolve but it’s often hard to judge beforehand. Ideally it would follow the path of „Appharkt“ , with the rhythmic backbone of „Outpregnate“ with some new ideas that we are going to test with the programmed metronomes, for exploring the mechanical barbarism of tempo changes. As mentioned before there always will be surprises and unpredictable variables in between that will allow the composition to be entitled a „full length“

11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your newer music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

We all listen to a variety of different musical styles, which is normal. It allows us to minimize our influences in the composition process and proceed with our fundamentals and stay devoted to our sound being present in the new songs, keeping an element of evolution. Some interesting musical styles like industrial, ambient, electronic can be as asset when being transposed onto metal songwriting. Some people nowadays mention that we have grindcore influences, which maybe is true? Let’s see what happens next.

12.How would you describe your views on Satanism?

There are endless interpretations and debates about this philosophy and its implementation. The closest point of view to satanism that we can discuss here is the individual detachment from any form of obligation (physical or mental), and concentration/channeling the inner psyche to achieve the live goals without the « mediocracy » variable. There must be a constant, never-ending reminder of determination and topping your self-achievements. There is nothing as «best », « end », « maximum » There are no norms, as we are not subjected to anything. Everything is an illusion and the only truth is the SELF. Endless savage devotion in blood and flesh.

13.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

Check out our « Outpregnate » EP to be released 18 March on Krucyator Productions. Later this year expect the next release « Encomium of Perverse Instincts » split with Sarinvomit. Stay tunes for some news during the summer and some killer news in the autumn! Thx for your support. Hail Death

Eggs Of Gomorrh/Outpregnate/Krucyator Productions/2019 CD Review

Eggs  Of  Gomorhh  are  a  band  from  Switzerland  that  plays  a  bestial  mixture  of  war, black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review of  their  2019  album  "Outpregnate"  which  will  be  released  in  March  by Krucyator  Productions.

A  very  dark  and  apocalyptic  sounding  intro  starts  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction.  When  the  music  speeds  up  it  brings  in  more  of  a  raw  war  metal  style  which  also  uses  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  to  give  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

Vocals  are  mostly  black  metal  screams  while  bestial  growls  can  also  be  heard  at  times  while  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  done  in  a  very  chaotic  style  along  with  the  music  also  having  more  of  a  modern  approach  to  war  metal.

All  of  the  tracks  stick  to  either 2  or  3  minutes  as  well  as  being  very  raw  and  chaotic  throughout  the  songs  and  no  guitar  solos,  leads  and  melodies  are  ever  utilized.  All  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Medieval  Satanism,  Carnage,  Apocalyptic  Hate,  Murder  and  Eternal  Sodomy  themes.

In  my  opinion  Eggs  of  Gomorhh  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  war,  black  and  death  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Deathinjekt"  and  "Domination  Xtasy".  8  out  of  10.
