1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the solo project?
1. GEATKIHAUKR is an entity, the absolute power that keeps my sledge in the firmament. It gives me a chance to be the harbinger for the hibernated and to be the eraser of the inner enfeeblement. Pursuit of the ancestral pureness.
2.A few months back you released a demo, can you tell us a little bit more about the musical style that you went for on the recording?
2. This demo is the initial platform, simple black metal just to get a grip of something to pull out from the swamps of my dome. It fits in the concept of my visions and channellings so be it Black metal.
3.The solo project has been around since 2016 but you waited until 2021 to release any music, can you tell us a little bit more about the earlier years?
3. I started the musical and conceptual progress spasmodically in 2016, but did not give it too much focus. I wanted to see how it will mature, does it stand the corruption of time, waited for the right moment to advance.
4.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects you have explored with the music?
4. Lyrics are presented partly as a journal. They carry the message of the forefathers of mine that have already seen through my mortal life. Antagonistic features for the enfeebled and bursts of exaltation for the increase of the horde. Synchronicity and reincarnation.
5.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Geatkihaukr'?
5. This entity has been with me since i spawned here. After following or guiding me nameless for over two decades it was needed to describe it in a mortal language, so that it is understandable multiversally. Think about a gluttony of knowledge combined with an spiritual overwatch.
6.Can you tell us a little bit more about the runes that are presented on the demo cover?
6. The runes on the cover deciphers the actual songs in a heliocentric way. Wheel of seasons as they occur in this layer. Solstices and equinoxes.
7.With this project you record everything by yourself but also have experience playing in a band with a full line up, which one do you prefer?
7. Playing in a band can sometimes manifest a stronger energy but mostly personal experiences have proved me that the direction will get lost and the core will melt. More members equals more problems. Certainly when you are soloing, you will still have lots of problems, but it is only up to you to fix them. GEATKIHAUKR cannot be touched by anybody else than me, so i have to do it solo. So i can not say which i prefer, this is what i have been destined to do.
8.Currently you are unsigned, are you looking for a label or have received any interest?
8. Some interest have been received. I am looking for a label to make certain and small deals for now.
9.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black metal?
9. It has been well reacted, but just few. Still no mentions about the lyrics. Of course you have to learn finnish to read them. That should be seen as an encouragement.
10.What is going with 'Hatespirit ' these days?
10. I dont know.
11.When can we expect a full length and also where do you see yourself heading into as a musician during the future?
11. No plans of doing a full length yet. I am certain that i will continue to execute all the plans, visions, transmissions and ideals piece by piece. How it will appear in the material world, maybe as in tape, disk and vinyl. Currently the second tape is on the works.
12.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
12. I have a very vast scale of music, so not just metal that inspires me. On this month i have listened some 90's disco, Klangkuenstler, finnish country music called ISKELMÄ, suomirap, Sepultura - Schizophrenia, Sodom - Persecution mania, Destruction - Sentence of Death, Arska & Hakkapeliitat - Rock for North, Autopsy - Severed survival, Nordvrede - Confrontation.
13.Does Satanism or Occultism play any role in your music?
13. When i was younger i was more interested in Satanism and Occultism. Since then i gathered many portrayals of Satan which would be the Adversary for abrahamic religion, the Truth as a polarization of a lie, the Wisdom in a sense of overcoming self, a pantheistic force of nature. However i really dont need to submit to anything to the point of worshipping. With occultic tools i have ascended to the mountains to foresee the coming world and descended to the labyrinth to endure the coming world. World view is polytheistic, as there would be different amounts of energy like from a lesser ghost to the most powerful god UKKO. Then the scale could be expanded by lightyears and there we could outline the pantheistic element that is Satan/Saatana/Sahttanas. So polytheism could be the tissue in the body of pantheism. Never worship, always honor.
14.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
14. From the deepest of your spine comes the most important message of your life sent by the seeders who made it possible for you to see this enfeebled realm of falseness. When you become spineless you will be imprisoned by this realm.
