Arcano Arconite/Rituais Primitivos/Old Metal Rites/2022 Compilation Album Review

 

  Arcano  Arconite  are  a  solo  project  from  brazil  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  an  atmospheric  and  misanthropic  form  of  satanic  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2022  compilation  album  "Rituais  Primitivos"  which  was  released  by  Old  metal  Rites  and  consists  of  his  2020 ep  "Glorficactio  Mortem"  and  demo  tracks  ranging  from  the  mid  90's  to  2015.

  Ambient  style  synths  start  off  the  compilation  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  along  with  the  guitar  solos  and  leads  also  being  done  in  a  very  melodic  style  and  the  music  also  adds  in  a  great  amount  of  old  school  influences.

  A  great  portion  of t he  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  while  the  music  also  has  its  atmospheric  moments.  Some  of  the  songs  are  also  ambient  orientated  instrumentals  along  with  all  of  the  tracks  also  sticking  to  either  a  slow  or  mid  tempo  direction  and  at  times  the  compilation  also  captures  a  very  lo-fi  atmosphere

  On  this  compilation  Arcano  Arconite  goes  for  more  of  a  mid  tempo,  atmospheric  and  misanthropic  style  of  black  metal.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Elizabeth  Bathory,  Misanthropy  and  Satanism  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  collection  from  Arcano  Arconite  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  atmospheric,  misanthropic  and  satanic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  compilation.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Waiting  For  Death"  "To  Hell"  and  "Elizabeth  Bathory".  8 out  of  10.

Arcano Arconite/A lua morta sobrea terra negra/Old Metal Rites/2020 CD Review

  Arcano  Arconite  are  a  solo project  from  Brazil  that  has had music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  on  this  recording  plays  a  very  atmospheric  and  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2020  album  "A  lua  morta  sobrea  terra  negra"  which  was  released  by  Old  Metal  Rites.

  Ambient  style  synths  start  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  on  the  second  track.  Vocals  are  mostly  grim  yet  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  most  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.

  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  dark yet  melodic  style  while  also  adding  in  some  modern  and  atmospheric  touches.  Synths  also  make  a  return  on  some  of  the  later  tracks  as  well  as  adding  in  a  variety  of  many  different  sounding  keys,  melodies  can  also  be  heard  in  some  of  the  guitar  riffing.

  As  the  album  progresses  a  brief  use  of  clean  playing  and  samples  can  also  be  heard,  when  tremolo  picking  is  utilized  it  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling  and  all  of  the  songs  also  stick  to  either  a  slow  or  mid  tempo  style  along  with  a  later  track  also  being  an  ambient  instrumental.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Portuguese  and  cover   Satanism,  Darkness,  Death,  Historical  and  Misanthropic  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Arcano  Arconite  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  atmospheric  and  satanic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "A  espera  da  morte"  "Erzebeth  Bathory"  and  "Varcolaci".  8  out  of  10.

Arcano Arconte/Nihil Prater Mortem/Misanthropic Luciferian Onslaught/2015 CD Review

  Arcano  Arconte  are  a  solo  project  from  Brazil  that  plays  a  very  atmospheric  and  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this is  a  review  of  their  2015  album  "Nihil Prater Mortem"  which  was  released  by  Misanthropic  Luciferian  Onslaught.

  Clean  guitars and  melodic  guitar  leads  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  grim  black  metal  screams  that  have  a  whisper  type  of  approach  and  drum  beats  that  also  takes  the  music  into  more  of  a  heavier  and  atmospheric  musical  direction  and  the  drums  also  have  a  tribal  feeling  in  some  parts  of  the  songs.

  A  great  portion  of  the  tracks  are  very  long  and  epic  in  length  and  on  the  second  track  the  music  starts  getting  a  little  bit  more  mid  paced  and  also  brings  in  more  of  a  raw  style  of  black  metal  along  with  the  screams  also  getting  a  little  bit  more aggressive  and  the  songs  stick  either  to  a  slow  or  mid  paced  musical  direction  while  elements  of  dark  ambient  are  added  into  certain  sections  of  the  music.

  Arcano  Arcante  plays  a  style  of  satanic  black  metal  that  is  more  on  the  atmospheric  side  of  the  genre  while  also  bringing in  more  of  an  occult  and  ritualistic  approach  to  the  genre,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  his  native  tongue  and  cover  Satanism  and  Misanthropy  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Arcano  Arcante  are  a  very  great  sounding  atmospheric,  satanic  black  metal  solo  project  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Negative  Existencia"  and  "Alem  do  Marda".  8  out  of  10.
