1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?
We’re a bestial death metal band heavily influenced by “Altars of Madness” by Morbid Angel, “Hammer of the Gods” by Angelcorpse, and “Black Force Domain” by Krisiun. Our lyrics are mostly about war and conquest and the finer things in life.
2.Since 2019 you have released 3 demo's and an ep, musically how do they differ from each other?
Actually we’ve released 2 demos, and EP, and a full length but Metal Archives never gets anything right. When we first started we were pretty standard death metal in the vein of Diabolic and similar to another band I was in at the time called Engulfed in Blackness but with the EP we decided to go a lot faster and more brutal and incorporate stuff like Impiety into our influences.
3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band has explored so far on the releases?
Conquest, war, torture, crushing enemies and taking everything from them... including their souls!
4.What is the menaing and inspiration behind the name 'Apocryphetic'?
Apocalypse + Prophetic, I feel the name sums up the band pretty well.
5.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the ep cover?
It was done by Raul Gonzales, we thought it fit the title and some of the things we talk about like communing with destiny and the Cosmos.
6.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?
We’ve only played 3 shows so far and while they were ok I don’t think we’ve really been able to have the full effect live. Maybe when we can actually play shows again we’ll get everyone together and do something really sick. Everyone in the current lineup lives in different places and it’s hard to get everyone together especially right now. So if we were going to play out we’d want to do it right and make it a big deal and something to really remember!
7.Currently the band is signed to 'Sunshine Ward Recordings', can you tell us a little bit more abotu this label?
I’ve only been on 2 labels that did anything for me. SWR is one of them. They’ve been great and have done everything they’ve said they would. They also, to me, have the best stable of artists of pure total death in the underground extreme music scene right now.
8.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of war, black and death metal?
It’s been really good. We’ve gotten some pretty good reviews and the digital is selling really well. We’re waiting on tapes and CDs and I get a lot of people asking for those.
9.Are any of the band members currently involved with any other bands or musical projects these days?
I’m also in Eternal Morbidity (death doom) and Cursed Entity (old school death/black metal). Ghoul is in Father Befouled and is one of the founders of that monster. Father Befouled should be the biggest band in the underground if there were justice in the world. Narzarath is in Vesterian (black metal), Mysteriarch (symphonic black metal), and Shrine (black metal)- all of which are top tier bands that deserve your respect!
10.When can we expect a full length and also where do you see the band heading into musically duirng the future?
We consider this our debut full length but I guess because it’s only 24 minutes nobody else does. Blasphemy’s second album is shorter! But on the question of when you can expect more insanity from us I’m currently working on the next release. Maybe we’ll make it longer so people will consider it a full length next time!
11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
Perdition Temple, Blasphemic Cruelty, Occidens, Diabolical Messiah, Blaspherian, Angelcorpse, Morbid Angel, Deiphago, Abhorrence, Ophiolatry, Impiety, Altar Blood, Father Befouled, Elders of the Apocalypse, Krisiun, and Abominator.
