Örastimar are a duo from Germany that plays a very raw form of black metal and this is a review of their 2026 ep "Näster" which was released by WitchCult Records.
Synths start off the ep before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams while the riffs also add in a decent amount of melody and the recording also captures a lo-fi atmosphere.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while clean playing can also be heard on a couple of tracks. All of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them along with the guitar solos and leads also adding in a very raw yet melodic style when they are introduced.
Örastimar plays a style of black metal that is very raw, lo-fi and aggressive sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Germany and cover misanthropy, hatred and anti society themes.
In my opinion Örastimar are a very great sounding raw black metal duo and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "As" and "Mar". 8 out of 10.
