Noche Eterna are a band from Ecuador that plays a very raw and satanic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "Lucifer Corpus Edimus" which was released by Chivo Negro Productions.
A very raw black metal sound starts off the album along with some grim screams and blast beats and the music is very heavily rooted in the 90's second wave style and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Clean playing can be heard in certain sections of the recording and some of the riffs also bring in a small amount of melodies and the faster sections bring in a great amount of tremolo picking and when solos and leads they are melodic and remain true to an old school style of black metal and a couple of song also bring in a small amount of spoken word parts which also gives the music more of a ritualistic feeling as well as a brief use of evil sounding keyboards while the main focus remains more on a raw and old school style of black metal.
Noche Eterna plays a style of satanic black metal that is very heavily rooted in the 90's second wave style and avoids any modern sound to create an album that takes the genre back to its roots, the production sounds very raw and old school while the lyrics are written in Spanish and cover Satanism, Luciferian, Left Hand Path and Blasphemous themes.
In my opinion Noche Eterna are a very great sounding raw and satanic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Dominio Infernal" "Ave Satanas" and "Azazel". 8 out of 10.
