Infernal Tenebra are a band from Croatia that originally started out as a pure black metal band but have over the years added elements of death and thrash metal to their music and this is a review of their 2012 album "New Formed Revelations" which was released by Massacre Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown into the music at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars, as for the synths they are only used briefly on one song and bring an atmospheric sound to the music.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast riffs that combine black, death and thrash metal together to create a sound of their own as well as a good amount of melody being thrown into the riffing, while the lead guitars are very melodic sounding guitar solos and leads, as for the acoustic guitars when they are utilized they use finger picking to add some darkness to the music.
Vocals are mostly deep blackened death/thrash metal screams and growls as well as a brief use of spoken word parts, while the lyrics cover violent and hateful themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound to it.
In my opinion while this album from Infernal Tenebra goes even further away from their black metal days I still feel this is a good album and I can see fans of blackened death/thrash enjoying this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Failed Leaders Museum" "Last Martyr Standing" and "Happily Depressed". RECOMMENDED BUY.
